Upon arrival in Xiamen, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, we will begin our exploration with a visit to Gulangyu Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Famous for its lush greenery, colonial-style architecture, and a rich history in music, the island offers a tranquil escape from the city hustle. You can explore the Gulangyu Piano Museum, stroll along the scenic beaches, and appreciate the blend of historical buildings from different countries. This charming island is the perfect way to start your trip.

Evening Option:

In the evening, you may choose to enjoy a local seafood feast, sampling delicacies from the sea like clam soup and Xiamen-style noodles at a recommended seafood restaurant. Alternatively, you can take a leisurely evening walk along the seaside, enjoying the cool breeze and the view of Xiamen's skyline.

After breakfast, we will head out to the Tulou region, known for its unique earthen buildings. The Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, a beautiful scenic area with well-preserved structures, will be our first stop. These massive round buildings, used by Hakka families for centuries, offer a glimpse into traditional Hakka life. The site is surrounded by lush green hills, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.

We will then proceed to Yuchang Building, a historical Tulou known for its architectural design and historical significance. This Tulou is an example of how ancient construction techniques and communal living come together in a harmonious setting.

Next, we will visit Taxia Village, where you can explore traditional Hakka-style courtyards and experience life in a rural community. Learn about the culture and customs that have been passed down through generations.

In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional Hakka lunch, featuring local dishes such as Hakka stuffed tofu and meat dishes cooked with preserved vegetables. After the meal, we’ll head back to Xiamen.

Evening Option:

For the evening, you can explore Xiamen's bustling Zhongshan Road, a vibrant pedestrian street famous for local snacks, shopping, and souvenirs. You can also stop by a local café to unwind and enjoy some traditional tea. This is a perfect way to relax and soak up the local atmosphere.
