Arrive at Lhasa Gonggar International Airport, where your driver will greet you and take you to your hotel for check-in. The journey takes around one hour. Today, it’s important to relax and allow your body to acclimatize to the high-altitude environment of Tibet. In the afternoon, feel free to stroll Barkhor Street, a vibrant and bustling area where you can immerse yourself in Tibetan culture. The street is famous for its local shops offering Tibetan handicrafts, textiles, and religious artifacts. You can also taste delicious Tibetan dishes like momo (dumplings) and tsampa (roasted barley flour).

Recommended Activity:

Take a leisurely walk around Barkhor Street and enjoy the spiritual energy. You can join the locals in their clockwise walk around the street, an important Tibetan Buddhist ritual. Be sure to take it slow to let your body adjust to the altitude.

• High-speed Train to Linzhi--Pagsum Lake

After breakfast, take the high-speed train from Lhasa to Linzhi (about 4 hours). Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel in downtown Linzhi for check-in. In the afternoon, head to Pagsum Lake, one of Tibet’s most beautiful natural wonders. Surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains, the lake is especially stunning in spring when the peach blossoms are in full bloom. The serene landscape, coupled with the vibrant pink hues of the peach blossoms, makes this a truly magical place to visit.

After breakfast, take the high-speed train back from Linzhi to Lhasa (about 3.5 hours). Once back in Lhasa, visit the world-famous Potala Palace, the iconic winter residence of the Dalai Lama. Explore its many chapels, halls, and intricate murals, and learn about the rich history and significance of this spiritual center.
