The Leshan Giant Buddha is a monumental statue carved into a cliff face in Leshan, Sichuan Province, China. Standing at 71 meters (233 feet) tall, it is the largest stone Buddha in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The statue was built during the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD) and took over 90 years to complete, symbolizing the Buddhist devotion of the era.
Overlooking the confluence of three rivers, the Buddha's serene expression and detailed features are a testament to the skill of the artisans who created it. Visitors can admire the statue from various viewpoints, including a nearby walking path and boat rides on the river, which provide stunning perspectives.
