The Hanging Temple
Hanging Temple, located in Datong City, Shanxi Province, is a unique temple built on a cliff, about 75 meters above the ground, like a bright pearl set on top of a treacherous cliff. Built in the fifth century, the temple is a fusion of Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian architectural styles, demonstrating the great skill and wisdom of ancient craftsmen. You can stroll along the wooden walkway of the Hanging Temple, enjoying the magnificent mountain views and the surrounding nature, as well as the peaceful atmosphere and rich culture of the temple. The Hanging Temple is not only a breathtaking architectural wonder, but also an ideal place to explore ancient religious beliefs and human creativity.
