Recommended Itinerary: Stroll along Central Street freely. It is a commercial pedestrian street full of historical charm and exotic atmosphere. On both sides of the street, there are 71 historical buildings in different styles, including Renaissance, Baroque, Eclecticism, Art Nouveau, and Classicism, among which 13 are municipal protected buildings. It is known as the "Outdoor Architectural Art Museum".
Not far from Central Street is the Saint Sophia Cathedral, a Byzantine-style Orthodox church built in 1907. It is magnificent and full of artistic atmosphere. The stone carvings on the exterior walls include classic phoenix patterns, delicate patterns, and decorations, showing exquisite artistic craftsmanship. The murals and reliefs inside are more exquisite, depicting stories from the Bible, the history of Christianity, and images of saints. The stained glass windows in the church are painted with various religious patterns and figures, which form colorful light and shadow effects through the sunlight.
