General Information:

Jiuyan Bridge, located at the intersection of the First Ring Road in Wuhou District and Jinjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, was originally named Hongji Bridge or Zhenjiang Bridge. It was built by Yu Yilong, a provincial administration commissioner during the Ming Dynasty. In 1788, during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, Governor Li Shijie renovated the bridge and renamed it "Jiuyan Bridge" (Nine-Eyes Bridge). In a narrow sense, it refers to the bridge itself, but broadly, it now represents the entire Jiuyan Bridge area. Known as one of "Chengdu's Eight Most Stunning Night View Spots," it is a gem of Chengdu's nightlife, surrounded by bars and entertainment venues.
